Training

Vehicle Inspection Systems, Inc. provides on-site training and technician certification for all VIS products.

Technicians are trained to set up the VIS-Check, perform inspections, and interpret the data gathered. VIS will show service writers and service managers how to help customers interpret customizable reports and illustrate the risks versus benefits of having detected work repaired or serviced now.

Technicians are trained to set up the VIS-Polish system, how to grade and prep wheels prior to refurbishing and in-process inspection for wheel damage and cycle effectiveness. Best practices ensure polishing technicians do a safe, effective job every time and continue to improve productivity as they gain experience.

Preventative Maintenance

VIS service technicians maintain and calibrate all VIS equipment to assure integrity and efficiency.

VIS service technicians calibrate the VIS-Check to comply with standards established by the DOT/FMCSA in federal regulation: 65 FR 48799 . Regular calibration and preventative maintenance ensures the VIS-Check will have a long life and continue to be an effective enforcement tool whose findings will stand up in a court of law.

VIS service technicians perform preventative maintenance visits in order to calibrate and perform required software and hardware maintenance to ensure the VIS-Polish system will have a long life and continue to be effective and safe to operate at maximum efficiency.

Repair and Replacement Parts

VIS keeps a complete inventory of repair and replacement parts on hand to ensure all VIS products provide maximum efficiency and reliability. On hand parts minimize down-time waiting for spare parts and consumables.

Product Upgrades

VIS’ continuous improvement programs provide optional software programs for specialized processes or to generally increase productivity. New hardware also enhances productivity, cycle speed, and cost of operation.
